erf was founded in 2025 with the intention to create garments of the highest quality — pieces meant to be worn, kept, and lived in for a lifetime.

Over the years, I became increasingly disconnected from the clothing I was buying. Brands I once admired shifted their focus away from materials, construction and longevity, opting instead for logos placed on garments that felt interchangeable. Clothing became faster, louder and disposable. I lost interest in that direction.

erf started as a response to this. A desire to create something quieter and more considered — a fresh take on something very old.

My work is deeply influenced by traditional Japanese repair techniques such as sashiko and boro. Originally used to reinforce and preserve garments, these methods are rooted in care, patience and respect for materials. They embrace wear, strengthen what already exists and allow clothing to age with character rather than be replaced.

That mindset shapes everything at erf.

Each piece is made with longevity at its core, beginning with the selection of exceptional materials and continuing through thoughtful construction and artisanal processes. When you hold an erf garment in your hands, the difference is immediate — not through branding, but through weight, structure and feel.
